Realtors International Around The Rocks Extreme Swim

It’s that time of year again with the annual Around the Rocks Extreme Swim hosted by BigBay Surf Lifesaving Club. This 2.5km swim is always a great swim and usually takes place in cold water, some surf and the standard Cape Town summer SE prevailing wind to help push the back stretch a little- nothing hectic but this IS the Atlantic afterall

   My son and I are keen to try the round the rocks without a wetsuit. We have done it once with a wetsuit.

   Is it a qualifying swim for the Freedom swim?

     It hasn’t been a qualifier in the past- most of the official qualifiers are swims that part of the Cadiz Open Water Series (every public holiday), and some of the 1SOMS.co.za swims. See you in the water!
